The Case of the 'Missing Link' Neutron Star

Reviewing back...
- Martin Perez
www.nasa.gov

Astronomers have found that the mysterious object, called PSR J1119-6127, has been caught behaving like two distinct objects. However a star may link two different kinds of stellar remains -a radio pulsar and a magnetar-. The mysterious object itself sometimes is a pulsar, and sometimes it's a magnetar.

A radio pulsar is type of a neutron star, and Magnetars, by contrast, are rabble rousers. Since the 1970s, scientists have treated pulsars and magnetars as two distinct populations of objects. But in the last decade, evidence has emerged that these could be stages in the evolution of a single object.

When this mysterious object was discovered in 2000, it appeared to be a radio pulsar. It was mostly quiet and predictable observed two X-ray bursts and 10 additional bursts of light at lower energies coming from the object by NASA's Fermi and Swift space observatories, and also in the same journal, led by Robert Archibald, looked at the two X-ray bursts. Then they suggested that the pulsar was behaving rebelliously -- like a magnetar. However, Majid said that these X-ray bursts happened because the object's enormous magnetic field got twisted as the object was spinning. Two weeks after the X-ray outburst, Majid and colleagues tracked the object's emissions at radio frequencies, which are much lower in energy than X-rays. They said Within 10 days, something completely changed in the pulsar, and it had started behaving like a normal radio pulsar again.

Some scientists argue that objects like J1119 begin as magnetars and gradually stop outbursting X-rays and gamma rays over time. But others propose the opposite theory: that the radio pulsar comes first and, over time, its magnetic field emerges from the supernovas rubble, and then the magnetar-like outbursts begin. But it is still unslove, and to help solve this mystery, much as anthropologists study the remains of human ancestors at different stages of evolutionary history, astronomers want to find more missing linkobjects like J1119.

Black Holes Hide in Our Cosmic Backyard

Reviewing back...
- editor by Tony Grecias
www.nasa.gov

Universe has show us much incredible things that just NASA can explain it with their highlight telescopes. Oneday NASA's NuSTAR (Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array) mission detects that A Monster Black Hole and it sometimes lurks behind gas and dust, hiding from the gaze of most telescopes, and identified two gas-enshrouded supermassive black holes, located at the centers of nearby galaxies. Both of these black holes are the central engines of what astronomers call "active galactic nuclei," a class of extremely bright, hot, and emit radiation objects that includes quasars and blazars. Instead of seeing the bright central regions, our telescopes primarily see the reflected X-rays from the doughnut-shaped obscuring material.

Researchers analyzed NuSTAR data from this object and compared them with previous observations from NASA's Chandra X-Ray Observatory and the Japan-led Suzaku satellite. They found that something suprisingly which is more sensitive to higher energy X-rays than these observatories, confirm the nature of IC 3639 as an active galactic nucleus. Annuar's study discovered that this galaxy also has a thick column of gas hiding the central black hole, which could be part of a doughnut-shaped region. Researchers also found that NGC 1448 has a large population of young (just 5 million year old) stars, suggesting that the galaxy produces new stars at the same time that its black hole feeds on gas and dust. A black hole's location can be hard to pinpoint because the centers of galaxies are crowded with stars. Though it is hard, they are still detect around the black holes with large optical and radio telescopes  so that astronomers can find their location and piece together the story of their growth.

What is NuSTAR?

Reviewing back...

Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR) is a Small Explorer mission led by Caltech and managed by JPL for NASA's Science Mission Directorate in Washington. NuSTAR was developed in partnership with the Danish Technical University and the Italian Space Agency (ASI). The spacecraft was built by Orbital Sciences Corp., Dulles, Virginia. NuSTAR's mission operations center is at UC Berkeley, and the official data archive is at NASA's High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center. ASI provides the mission's ground station and a mirror archive. Caltech manages JPL for NASA.

The mission's primary scientific goals are to conduct a deep survey for black holes a billion times more massive than the Sun, to investigate how particles are accelerated to very high energy in active galaxies, and to understand how the elements are created in the explosions of massive stars by imaging the remains, which are called supernova remnants.

If You Have Brown Eyes Then You’re More Special Than You Might Think

Reviewing back...
- Olivia Morton

Every each humans have their own color eyes including blue, dark, brown, and green. Having color eyes is one of the unique in our body, and have you ever wondered about why our eyes have a color and do every each colors have meaning? Then do every each colors have meaning? Yes, of course. For example in this article, they explained about one of the color which is brown and here I'm going to review it.

Many people in this world have a brown color in their eyes, and it has been common that brown eyes is the first eyes color to exist on humans. Brown eyes possess many unique qualities that make quite easy to read and suprisingly to know even though blue color eyes is more interesting. Here below will describing you in highlight 10 unique qualities in their brown eyes.
1. They hate conflicts
2. They are a friendly
3. They are a loyal
4. They are a intelligent
5. They love books
6. They are a reseverd
7. They are a good listeners
8. They keep spirit
9. They have a good memory
10. They are a trustworthy

I think the article whom Olivia Morton made is 99% true!! How could it happen? Because I am a brown color eyes, and You can read the real article in that link. So what about your opinion guys?

Sun Erupts With Significant Flare

Reviewing back...
- Karen C. Fox

Solar flares are powerful bursts of harmful radiation, and it cannot pass through Earth's atmosphere to physically affect humans on the ground. But it can disturb the atmosphere in the layer where GPS and communications signals travel when intense enough. NASA's Solar Dynamics snapped The sun emitted a significant solar flare, peaking at 12:06 p.m. EDT on Sept. 10, 2017. This flare is classified as an X8.2-class flare. This flare is the capstone on a series of flares from Active Region 2673, which was identified on August 29 and is currently rotating off the front of the sun as part of our star's normal rotation.

To see how this event may affect Earth, please visit NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center at http://spaceweather.gov or https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2017/active-region-on-sun-continues-to-emit-solar-flares
They will show more about the emit of sun in Sept. 8, 2017 M8.1 Flare to Sept. 6, 2017 - Two Significant Solar Flares Imaged by NASA's SDO.

Chandra Samples Galactic Goulash

Reviewing back...
- Lee Mohon
www.nasa.gov

A system in place far away from earth 140 million light years, Arp 299, contains two galaxies that are merging, creating a partially blended mix of stars from each galaxy in the process. However, according to NASAs Chandra X-ray, this stellar mix is not the only ingredient, but also such strong emitters of X-rays that astronomers categorize them as ultra-luminous X-ray sources,or ULXs. These ULXs are found embedded in regions where stars are currently forming at a rapid rate.

The ULXs are binary systems where a neutron star or black hole is pulling matter away from a companion star that is much more massive than the Sun. These double star systems are called high-mass X-ray binaries. Arp 299 is one of the most powerful star-forming galaxies in the nearby Universe, and Arp 299 also emits copious amounts of infrared light that has been detected by observatories.

The Relationship between Linguistics and Language Teaching

Reviewing back...
-Jing Meng

Researcher has taken long time to find out the problem of linguistics in Language teaching and the relationship between them. This article shows the implication of linguistic theories on the practice of language teaching relating of some linguists' theories. Language is an inherently complex system. The Linguist is a person who study about linguistics and try to identify the elements or aspect in order to analyze the language which is divided as  four aspects: sound system (phonetics), grammatical system (phonology), lexical system and discourse system.

These aspects should be involved in teaching theory because the aspects constitute a whole picture in Language. In short, language should be regarded as a synthesis in our practice, so a satisfactory language teaching theory should consider the language both as isolated features and as a synthesis. According to the writer, linguistics and language teaching are interactional with each other or a dual one. Some of linguists can be applied to language teaching, otherwise, a language teaching theory expresses or implies answer to questions about the nature of language.
